在所有暴政中，為了受害者的利益而真誠地進行暴政可能是壓迫性最强的。在強盜大亨的統治下比在無所不能的道德婊的治理下人們的生活會更好。強盜大亨的殘酷有時可能會沉睡，他的貪婪可能在某個時候被喂飽；但那些“為我們自己的利益”折磨我們的人，會在他們自己良心的認可下無休止地折磨我們。
他們可能會上天堂，但同時更可能製造人間地獄。 這是一種帶有不可忍受的侮辱的“仁慈”。
以違背某人自己的意願地被“治愈”，治愈那些我們可能不認為是疾病的“疾病”，這幫人應該尚未達到理性年齡或永遠也達不到理性年齡；他們應該與嬰兒，弱智和家畜分在一類。
